New York, New Leaf

Rushing the dogs through a very wet walk but I had to stop to take a quick photo of the rain on these brand new leaves.

Rushing the dogs through a very wet walk but I had to stop to take a quick photo of the rain on these brand new leaves.

Fog, large drops of rain, and no one around…except a few turtles that relentlessly ensure the safety of New York’s citizens.

The eighth painting in a series of fox paintings I have been working on. I am experimenting with different styles while painting this series. I have decided to use geometric and sharper abstract shapes to create the colour layers in this painting again. I enjoy the effect that it creates.

The seventh painting in a series of fox paintings I have been working on. I am experimenting with different styles while painting this series. I opted for a more abstract form while painting these four.
I love foxes <3.

This is the sixth in the red fox series, attempting to work in a different styles as I progress, some may be similar to what I have completed in my pet portrait paintings and other commissions section. I thought I would love to paint a series of foxes because they are interesting, solitary creatures that seem to have similar personalities with cats (just like me). My love for foxes was influenced decades ago by the Disney movie, The Fox and The Hound, and through a couple life experiences while growing up in Northern British Columbia, Canada.
I also began to record my painting progress and creating a time lapse of the videos. Original Youtube video can be found here: https://youtu.be/nakI2pWyE2k

This is the third in the red fox series, attempting to work in a different style that I have when I have completed pet portrait paintings and other commissions. I was drawn to the movement and flow of a fox when it would pounce to catch its prey. The capture of a fox in midair shows the concentration it has when hunting.

A Time Lapse View of me creating this Painting:
A commissioned work that I recently completed. The purchaser wanted a painting of crows and after reviewing a number of images we both agreed on this one. Original was a black and white photograph that I then modified using Illustrator and some filters to tone down the details and add more colour.
I am using 1.75in high quality gallery stretched canvas with a floating frame via Gotrick. This item also was framed with a simple, black floating wood frame before being shipped.
